It has been my fortune to have found a wonderful partner in the Collin SBDC. After meeting Marta Gomez at a Super Bowl seminar, I was immediately impressed with her willingness to help small businesses. When The Graphic Edge finished with SB XLV, I had lost some ground on my sales efforts. Doing Super Bowl had taken all my time and attention and I needed to re-focus on new business. I made an appointment with Marta and her staff at the SBDC. She was so positive and encouraging, she helped me create a game plan and energized me in my sales efforts. Next, she encouraged me to attend their free seminars. Each one was better than the last, I learned about Google Adwords, Search Engine Optimization, Social Marketing and Constant Contact from the SBDC. I have used most of these techniques to increase TGE sales and my efforts have exceeded my expectations. The SBDC also provided FREE accounting advice and FREE legal advise. The accountant referred to me saved us 1000’s of dollars and I have used them the last two years to do our taxes.
In addition to the consulting, training and resources provided by the SBDC, I have also made friends that encourage me and support me in my efforts. Jennifer Spara, a SBDC employee and I took a SEO class together and she helped me the entire time, coaching me on HTML and web building techniques. She is always there to answer a question or provide a resource who can help.
